In 2019, Julia embarked on her third teaching expedition aboard one of Creative Cookier’s famous cookie cruises. The theme was “Passage to India”, and Julia chose to replicate in royal icing two flowers that have special significance in the Indian culture: the lotus and marigold. For the lotus construction, Julia drew heavily on her Cookie Connection contributor Manu Pezzopane’s water lily tutorial, but she added her own special airbrushing spins and other details.
