3-D Wedding Cake Cookie

I’ve had a super busy spring with my cookie competition and a host of other classes at cake shows across the country, so I apologize for the hiatus in tutorials. But I’m back (yay!) with a new cookie tutorial just in time for summer wedding season. I couldn’t be more excited about it and the two tutorials soon to follow, and I surely hope you’ll find them exciting too! First, a little backstory about this latest release . . .

Years ago, I made my first 3-D wedding cake cookie, but the fact that its design wasn’t completely lifelike (the tiers had no tops!) had been gnawing at my perfectionist self for quite some time. So, in my recent round of tutorial development, I challenged myself to do better, and here you see what I think is the hyper-realistic result.

Yes, it’s true. This 3-D wedding cake hasn’t a single crumb of actual cake in it! Comprised entirely of contoured cookies covered with modeling chocolate (or fondant) and festooned with royal icing flowers and leaves, this 12-cookie project is sure to wow with its realism. Other pluses: it’s hollow, so you can fill it with all sorts of edible surprises, and it’s a lot easier to make than it looks! Though my four-tier version embraces my more-is-more mentality (LOL!), the project can easily be scaled down by making fewer tiers. And, my tutorial details every single step so that even beginners can follow along. But that’s not all . . .

To celebrate its launch, I’m offering 50% off all of my tutorials and class recordings through June 2023. (Uh-huh, you heard that right – 50%!) Just shop my tutorial library, and use code WOW50 at checkout. And in case you’re still on the fence about purchasing, here’s a sneak peek to show you all that you’ll learn from this one video, and, of course, you can find even more information about the tutorial under its listing on this site.

I so hope this tutorial brings you as much joy as it did me when making it for you! Here’s to happy viewing!
