Given the amount of thought and work that went into each snowdrop flower, it would have been easiest for Julia to skimp on these cookies’ backgrounds. But, oh no! No inveterate more-is-more person ever cuts corners. For the backgrounds, Julia was going for the look of a vintage botanical print, so she combined rubber-stamping with a subtle dusting of color. She also “aged” wafer paper messages by airbrushing them with a smidge of brown coloring. To delve into Julia’s step-by-step instructional video for this project, check out her YouTube channel.
