Halloween has got to be one of Julia’s favorite stencil holidays! Perhaps that’s because her layered stencil sets can often look great with a minimum of colors. As testament to this point, take a look at these cookies made with Julia’s September 2022 Halloween Coffin and Skeleton Dynamic Duos™ release. Done up here in just golden brown, chocolate brown, and black with occasional accents of electric green and violet, they are startlingly boo-tiful! The background set consists of a wood plank stencil (to simulate a casket lid), a skeleton, creepy skeleton hands, and two chains, one with a padlock. The release’s messages include several tongue-in-cheek statements, such as “TOMB SWEET TOMB”, “Scared STIFF”, and “DYING TO SEE YOU”. As usual, Julia has carefully designed these stencils to work with complementary cutters – in this case a skeleton and a graduated set of three Halloween casket cutters. What’s more, these sets are part of Julia’s brand-new Kitchen Club, and her first kit in that club! This kit not only includes stencils and cutters, but also an in-depth instructional video that shows how to use the kit’s tools to make both 2-D and 3-D Halloween casket cookies.
