Lady Liberty sure stands tall on this cookie (literally off its top and bottom edges) by virtue of being a fondant appliqué. When air-dried, fondant becomes firm, allowing you to make dramatic statements by hovering it above cookies or over their sides. Julia used her God Bless America Dynamic Duos™ stencil release to create all of the elements on this cookie with the exception of the extruded fondant flag pole and fondant bow and ribbon.
