Believe it or not, this Christmas cookie, though multi-layered, is quick and easy. Julia started by applying a pale blue sky with petal dust; next she painted green grass with liqua-gel food coloring; then she rubber-stamped in black to make the reindeer and trees; and, lastly, she sanded with white nonpareils and added red beadwork borders. None of these layers takes much precision, thus the speedy decorating time (no more than a few minutes on each cookie). To learn more about these decorating techniques, as well as many others, take a look at Julia’s book Ultimate Cookies (in its various forms) in the “RELATED PRODUCTS” area.
