In this filigree cookie box variation, Julia skipped the icing on the sides, and went directly to applying the SugarVeil lace. She also “toned down” the lid – literally – by dispensing with the 3-D dome (shown elsewhere in this gallery) and going completely flat. Though you might not have guessed it, the disk on top was made with SugarVeil products as well, but applied in an unconventional way. Rather than using the mats to make the usual edible lace, they were rolled into the cookie dough to emboss it.
