One of the very first SugarVeil mats that Julia ever used, this Extra Large Lace Mat is perfect for beginners because its relatively thick lace is so easy to remove from the mats. Back in the day, Julia used it to make fancy little urns (third photo to the right) for a YouTube collaboration about innovative uses of SugarVeil. She used the mat both to emboss dough (the dome on top of the larger box) and to make lace in the traditional way for wrapping around the cylinder.
