These simple but elegant cupcakes were crafted by Julia in 2005 as part of the article Getting Creative with Cupcakes in Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion. Julia was asked by the magazine to re-style the recipes in a book called Cupcakes Year-Round by Sara Neumeier. Julia did her best to impart her own personal touch while using the author’s recipes and styling suggestions as a starting point. Stacking the cupcakes in teacups added height and interest to what otherwise might have been a “one-level” presentation.
