Even without any messages remarking about paradise, Julia’s Slice of Paradise Dynamic Duos™ stencil release clearly conveys its tropical getaway theme with its profusion of plumeria-like flowers. The flowers shown here were made of fondant and stenciled with the background set in this release; then cut out and set in paper towels tubes to dry with gentle curves. By stacking these so-called fondant appliqués on top of flowers airbrushed directly on the cookies, Julia created a look of overgrown abundance, much like what one would see in an actual rain forest.
