Yes, “mix and match” is Julia’s mantra when it comes to her advice about using her layered stencils. Here, she merged two background stencils from her earlier Prettier Plaques™ series (namely the ones from her Save the Date and Single Monogram sets) with various foreground and message elements from her School Rules Dynamic Duos™ release. Julia’s Kitchen Club

Corner Plaque Cookie Cutter

Julia popularized this classic Corner Plaque cutter design by using it in so many of her cookie stencil releases. It’s definitely one of her faves! While it can be oriented any which way relative to the design on the cookie top, she loves it in the “diamond” position (first photo), because it allows the best exposure of her background stencils. This cutter is available in three sizes; the price reflects the smallest 2-inch size. Julia most often uses the 4-inch size.

A Haunting We Will Go Dynamic Duos Stencil Sets

There’s no debating it: Halloween is one of the best, if not THE best, cookie seasons of the year! And Julia’s September 2020 stencil release, called A Haunting We Will Go, is her best Halloween set yet! It’s a spook-tacular haunted mansion vignette with four different ghouls that can prowl out front! Plus, it’s got an extra layer in the background set with overlays for the house windows and door, a scary tree face, and moon craters!

Bad to the Bone Dynamic Duos Stencil Sets

Boo! Halloween just snuck up on you! If the thought of getting through all of those upcoming cookie orders is a bit scary, have no fear! Julia’s August 2021 Dynamic Duos™ stencil design, called Bad to the Bone, will make a big impact with a minimum of airbrushing. Its spooky skeleton portraits and pumpkin damask “wallpaper” look great in just one color, applied in varying shades. Though, of course, if you’re a more-is-more person like Julia, you can add colors and stencil overlays to greater degrees.
