Now, let’s lean into Julia’s 3-D Easter basket cookie to really inspect that needlepoint lace! Of course, the grid could be piped with royal icing, as Julia has done on many other projects, but it’s far faster to make it with edible cake lace and the SugarVeil needlepoint mat. Aside: Julia and SugarVeil founder Michele Hester co-designed this mat (the first of its kind) back in 2015, and it’s since become the favorite timesaving tool for needlepoint work.
