Inspired by the widely circulated cake zoetropes by Alexandre DUBOSC and team, Julia decided to tackle a cookie cake zoetrope (a cookie animation on a cake) for her headline demo at the 2013 Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show. Kerry Vincent, world-class cake artist and show organizer, demanded just two things of Julia’s showpiece: It had to (1) be bold and stand out in the sea of people attending the show and (2) convey motion in keeping with the show’s ballet theme. While this photo is certainly boldly colored, you might be wondering how Julia achieved requirement number two?!
