Hold on now; don’t get any crazy ideas! šŸ˜‰ I’m simply referring to the release of Part 2 of my new four-part online Airbrushing-Stenciling Intensive (Starter Stencil Designs) and the fact that it’s conveniently sold separately and also in a bundle with Part 1 (Airbrush System and Handling Fundamentals). If you haven’t yet taken advantage of Part 1, then the bundle is likely the way to go, as Part 1 truly lays the technical foundation for all that comes in Part 2, and which will soon come in Parts 3 and 4. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let me tell you a bit more about Part 2, which was released earlier today!

In Part 2, I advance from the system handling and triggering fundamentals covered in Part 1 to simple one- and two-color designs that use up to one mask (or layered/superimposed stencil), making this part ideally suited for beginners. You’ll learn how to achieve interesting effects with a minimum of colors just by varying the degree of color saturation across a cookie. In the process of working with three different stencil sets on several different cookies, I also demonstrate how a keen understanding of precision-control airbrushing and shading (my two primary modes of operation introduced in Part 1) are critical to achieving these effects.

I think youā€™ll see from the following Part 2 cookie photos just how rich and elegant even a simple single-color, no-overlay design can be. Plus, thereā€™s nothing speedier than a one-color airbrushed cookie! By the end of Part 2, I begin working with three colors in one-layer designs (i.e., the “Thank You” cookie in the bottom right) as a segue into more complex multicolor, multi-layer designs in Part 3.
