This darling marshmallow peep and its plus-one – an equally sweet Easter bunny – were made for the springtime cookie party chapter in Julia’s first book Cookie Swap. There’s nothing more ethereal than homemade marshmallow, so you really ought to try it. Julia’s version in the book is flavored with fresh lemon to cut some of the sweetness of the sugar coating, but any flavoring works great. For the recipe and more details, check out Julia’s book in the “RELATED PRODUCTS” links. And for Julia’s cinnamon variation, take a look at this blog post. (FYI, you’ll see similar marshmallow bunnies elsewhere in this gallery; Julia recreated them years later for her YouTube channel.)
