This cookie using Julia’s Boo to You Dynamic Duos™ sets is a great example of the over-stenciling technique. A term Julia coined, over-stenciling refers to one element being stenciled on another stenciled (or un-stenciled) element to lend more depth. Julia did exactly this by stenciling tree limbs over a stenciled ghost and a cloud over the moon (which is a royal icing transfer). Doesn’t it look as if that ghost is gliding right through the tree?! To learn more or to purchase, visit Julia’s stencil partner Confection Couture Stencils’ site.
