Even all by themselves with no bottoms, the lids on Julia’s 3-D Christmas box cookies make splendid holiday treats. This array of lids features rubber-stamped designs. The central patterns on both the foreground and red lids were rubber-stamped, as were the fondant appliqués on the perimeter of the red lid. Rubber-stamping is a wonderful and easy way to add lavish detail to cookies. To learn how to make Julia’s box project in its entirety, check out these two videos: first, this one, which covers the making of the box bottoms, and then this one, which addresses the lids.
