Fun fact: A group of butterflies is called a kaleidoscope, perhaps because of the complex and colorful patterns made by their collective wings. Here, Julia added lifelike dimension to her stenciled kaleidoscope, made with her Thank You set, by airbrushing the wings separately on wafer paper, cutting them out, and then attaching them to the cookie with corn syrup. (Piping gel works great for this task too.) To learn more or to purchase, visit Julia’s stencil partner Confection Couture Stencils’ site. To see how to use this set, check out Julia’s YouTube video.
