From 2008 to 2014, Julia was honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), the world’s largest multidisciplinary professional association for those working in food-related businesses. Julia had the challenge of serving a diverse array of membership interests, ranging from food writing and publishing to food styling and photography, to food preparation and service. After serving as Treasurer (2011-2012) and being a leading force in transitioning the organization to solvency and self-management, Julia was elected by her Board peers to serve as Vice President (2012-2013) and ultimately as President (2013-2014).
