After having been completely surprised by two nominations for the 2026 Australian Cake Artists & Decorators Association (ACADA) Awards (see the prior two “Kudos” entries), Julia was beyond blown away by the announcement at the August 2026 Awards Gala that she had been inducted into ACADA’s Hall of Fame! Induction into the ACADA Hall of Fame is the highest accolade that a sugar artist can receive from Australia. It is awarded in recognition of not only the inductee’s exceptional work, but also his/her significant contribution to the growth of the sugar arts industry within Australasia (and/or overseas), selfless education of others, and contribution toward helping others achieve international standards. What a remarkable way for Julia to cap off her 20 years of service to the world of cookie art!
