In February 2024, for the third year in four consecutive years, Julia was honored by the Australian Cake Artists & Decorators Association (ACADA) as a finalist for its Global Sugar Hero Award, considered one of six “supremo” (best-of-the-best) awards that the association confers. Being a finalist in this category (one of four in the world!) was a huge award in and of itself, though Julia would be the first to admit that she was overjoyed to finally bring home the crystal trophy in April! Turns out the third nomination was the charm!
