Julia is a self-proclaimed more-is-more person. And this cookie fireplace mantel is a prime example of what she means by that! She didn’t leave out a single detail! First, that fireplace! She constructed it with a combination of embossed and molded cookies that she whitewashed with food coloring. But those details weren’t enough. She went on to deck out the mantel top with royal icing garlands, fondant bows, and painted royal icing stockings.
