In June 2021, Julia M. Usher’s Cookie Art Competition™ went online when That Takes the Cake Show, the usual home to Julia’s competition, canceled due to COVID. Talk about pivoting on a dime! In a few short months, Julia built all of the systems required to support the new virtual format, raised over $14,000 in prizes, and welcomed cookiers from all over the world to join the fun. Despite the challenging circumstances, both competitor and sponsor participation reached an all-time high. Julia also served as head judge overseeing the judging process of four other judges.
