In December 2025, Julia was overjoyed to receive the news that Cookie Connection, her online cookie decorating community of 13 years, had made the finals in the prestigious D’licious Magazine Awards’ (DMAs’) Online Community category. This recognition is especially gratifying to Julia because it honors her many site members and contributors who have made Cookie Connection so special over the years. In her announcement to Cookie Connection membership at the time, Julia declared, “This nomination is yours, as your passion for cookie decorating and your respect and love for one another as cookie artists are truly the fabric that binds Cookie Connection together.” Winners will be announced in February 2026 at the DMA ceremony in the United Kingdom. Julia plans to travel all the way there with the hope of seeing her beloved community pass the finish line first. In the meantime, her fingers are crossed!
