In October 2025, Julia earned the distinct honor (and huge responsibility) of judging the 2-D and 3-D cookie categories in Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show’s competition. Recently reincarnated in 2025 after a post-COVID hiatus, the show is the largest of its kind in Canada, and Julia was one of only three North American cookie artists selected to carry out this very important show role. Julia was quite impressed with the entries, especially because many were created by first-time competitors. She extends congratulations to every entrant for landing an entry on the judging table, which is no small feat, and she eagerly looks forward to seeing what everyone submits next year!
