Julia is elated to be attending Cake International, the world’s biggest and most prestigious cake show, for the first time. She’s even more thrilled to be demoing on the main stage while there!

Overview: Over the course of two 45-minute demos spanning two days, Julia will show how to make a smaller version of her popular 3-D Christmas candelabra cookie (depicted below). In this second part, she’ll pick up where the first part (on November 4) left off with the detailing of cookie parts and then the final candelabra assembly.

Skill Level: All levels; the more students, the merrier!

Prerequisites: None.

What You’ll Learn:

  • 3-D royal icing pine cones (continued from part one)
  • Rubber-stamped fondant appliqués
  • Piping on contoured cookies
  • Royal icing consistencies for both line and beadwork
  • Shading with an airbrush
  • 3-D assembly techniques (both with and without internal supports), and more!

Again, for more information about the first part of Julia’s demo on November 4 at 10 am, see this listing.

To Register: Both parts of Julia’s demo are free with the price of a Cake International ticket, so don’t delay in registering for the show if you haven’t already. Ticket information can be found on the Cake International site under the “LEARN MORE” link on this page. Julia so looks forward to seeing you there!

Project Photos: Again, due to time constraints, Julia will be demoing a scaled-down version of this project.
