Julia is elated to be attending Cake International, the world’s biggest and most prestigious cake show, for the first time. She’s even more thrilled to be demoing on the main stage while there!

Overview: Over the course of two 45-minute demos spanning two days, Julia will show how to make a smaller version of her popular 3-D Christmas candelabra cookie (depicted below). In this first part, she’ll demonstrate the crafting of the key cookie and icing pieces, and will cover about nine cookie shaping and covering techniques.

Skill Level: All levels; the more students, the merrier!

Prerequisites: None.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Contoured cookies
  • Embossed cookies
  • Embossed and contoured cookies

The second part of Julia’s demo will follow on November 5 at 4 pm (see this event listing for more info), and will pick up where this part left off with the detailing of cookie parts and then the final candelabra assembly.

Ticket information can be found on the Cake International site under the “LEARN MORE” link on this page. Julia so looks forward to seeing you there!

Project Photos: Again, due to time constraints, Julia will be demoing a scaled-down version of this project.
